Hello from the land of....

...Enid Blyton and Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes and Wodehouse and James Herriott and Shakespeare and Wordsworth and Wimbledon and Greenwich and Harry Potter and Jane Austen and Charles Dickens and...

Puttachi was relieved (disappointed?) to find that UK was on earth. She thought that it was in the sky, since we were going there in an aeroplane.

Updates from my vacation will follow, short ones, probably, when I have the time :)

Technically, it should be J.K. Rowling and not Harry Potter.

Or may be you meant land of Harry Potter as the books did take place in UK yet, technically Harry Potter is a fictitious character while everything else you mentioned are real. For some reason a lot of people do that. When I was visiting Edinburgh my colleagues will tel me that that's where Harry Potter lived which again was wrong as Harry Potter never lived in Edinburgh (not even in the books. He lived in a fictitious town called Little Whinging). Author of Harry Potter, J K Rowlings, , on the other hand, live in Edinburgh.

It's a beautiful place to visit and you are going at a nice time..at least I hope it won't snow there any more. Have fun!!

Have fun and we await your post on your trip :)

Not really, Richa, there is also a mention of Sherlock Holmes. So, a few authors, a couple of fictional characters and a couple of place names.... it is just fine.....
