Children's story in Open Sesame

I'm mighty kicked right now. Deccan Herald's children's supplement, Open Sesame, has published my story today.

Just a simple story - tried writing for children for the first time.

  6. loved it - will tell this to jaanamari :)

couldn't comment a response to a comment there for some reason it was giving an error, so here it is.

"Usually, sweetmeats. any sweet delicacy of the confectionery or candy kind, as candied fruit, sugar-covered nuts, sugarplums, bonbons, or balls or sticks of candy."

from dictionary com :) yeah I'm a vegetarian too - but its completely irrelevant in this context :)

  9. Good going, Shruthi! The quibbles about the meat in sweetmeat were amusing, though I added my twopennyworth too! I thought the new neighbour would be blind(and all those books would be in Braille!), but I guess that would be conventionally filmi!
