The main pathway at the entrance, leading to Karanji Kere.

Karanji Kere as seen from the watch-tower. And if you are wondering why the tree is white - those are bird droppings.

I find myself wishing that I were this duck - floating blissfully in the cool waters of Karanji Kere.

A butterfly in the butterfly park, Karanji Kere.
nice photos, Shruthi! Missed going there... but, there is always next time :)
ReplyDeleteHere is one snap of Lingambudhi lake that I took.
Beautiful....visited Kukkarahalli kere last time when it was twilight...since it was getting dark we could not spend much time there...hope to visit again soon.
ReplyDeleteGood photos, well taken!..a lone tree standing in the centre of the placid karanji kere is awesome!
ReplyDeleteSomeone is really making good use of the camera here! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!! Especially the one with the white solitary tree....somehow it reminds me of the solitary white tree in the Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King (the tree right on top of the city of Minas Tirith)!
Shruthi, check my blog...have written about my routine experiences in a Mumbai local.
Prashanth, that is a great snap! The sunset we witnessed was almost that way!
ReplyDeleteVani, next time, lets hope that I am your host and get to take you around that place ;)
Sharath, thank you! :)
Sachin, thank you! :) Haven't watched LOTR :O
I have already been to your blog and commented on that cool account of the locals :D [I have a bloglines subscription on your blog - still had it in spite of your inactivity ;)]
Hey thanks!!! Btw, if you haven't you most definitely should watch LOTR - its a must watch!!
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, forgive my ignorance but whats a bloglines subscription?? Another technical question, how do I get that "blogs i visit" along the side of your blog? Sorry to take up your comment space regarding this!

ReplyDeleteI think I have your mail id from a previous correspondence. Will mail you with the answers to your queries.
Mridula, thank you :)
i confess that this comment has no connection to your post.
ReplyDeletebut reading about you imagining yourself as a duck, reminded me of "my cousin vinny" and the dialogue about his fiancee asking vinny to imagine himself as a deer.
listen to the deer dialogue here (these are adult-rated dialogues, so excuse me - and don't sue me if you roll off your chair laughing!)
